When the Chinese Communist Party backtracks on its promise of autonomy to Hong Kong, teenager Joshua Wong decided to save his city. His activist career started when he was just 14 years old but as a powerful and charismatic spokesperson of a new generation, Joshua quickly became the leader of the Umbrella Movement and one of China's most notorious dissidents. With mass protests in 2014 leading to a 79-day campaign to shut down Hong Kong’s financial district, the movement rallied thousands of kids to occupy the streets.
Filmmaker Joe Piscatella follows Joshua's journey from a booksmart teenager to an unlikely leader fighting for the future of Hong Kong.
