No Easy Walk to Freedom tells the story of the struggle to strike down section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, which criminalizes same-sex sexual behaviour in India. The film has been made as part of Envisioning Global LGBT Human Rights, a partnership of 33 NGOs in 12 countries, including Naz Foundation India Trust in New Delhi, and led by Nancy Nicol (Visual Arts Department, York University, Canada).

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with director Nancy Nicol and Arvind Narrain, activist/lawyer, and Geneva Director of ARC International.

This is one of two events on LGBTI Human Rights Activism and Film, taking place as part of the Being Human Festival.
