A year in the life of taboo-busting British artist, Marc Quinn. This fly-on-the-wall documentary delves into the life of one of the UK’s best known and most controversial artists.

With fans like Elton John, Tommy Hilfiger and Lionel Ritchie, artist Marc Quinn is an international superstar. He rose to prominence as one of the YBA’s in the mid-90s creating provocative works such as ‘Self’, a bust of himself made from his own blood, and ‘Alison Lapper Pregnant’, a huge sculpture of the disabled artist that was exhibited on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square.

In this new documentary we gain unprecedented insight into the artistic process of Quinn’s ideas from conception to completion, observing as he exhibits and sells new works across the world. With an obvious and often humorous rapport with his subject, life-long friend and collaborator, award winning director Gerry Fox reveals a side of the artist the public rarely see – a devoted and spontaneous family man with a keen eye for the absurdities of the art world.
