Csanád Szegedi, a far-right Hungarian politician, swayed millions with his vehement anti-Semitic rhetoric. Then came a revelation which upended his life: his maternal grandparents were Jewish. After the initial shock, he enlists the help of an empathetic Rabbi who, to the horror of some of his peers, helps to guide him through what seems to be a 180 degree turn around.
Following Szegedi on a three-year journey from notorious anti-Semite to Orthodox Jew, Keep Quiet forms a complex and disquieting portrait, questioning the nature of identity, belonging and the possibility of transformation.
