The Freedom Riders are credited as changing America forever by the forefathers of the American civil rights movement. For six months in 1961 more than 400 black and white Americans challenged segregation laws by taking greyhound buses together from Washington to the South. They were met with vicious racism, hatred and mob violence for simply travelling together. 50 years on we look back at these events and honour the bravery of these individuals with a free outdoor screening event.
