Jon Bang Carlsen: Director Masterclass

Best known for his radical approach to the staging of documentaries, Jon Bang Carlsen often focuses on the daily lives and rituals of people whom viewers would consider either ordinary or marginal. Though firmly rooted in his native Denmark, Carlsen is drawn to other cultures and landscapes, with the result that a number of his films have been filmed abroad. This Masterclass will focus on Carlsen’s unique approach to the form by looking back at some of his key works.
