Filmmaker Aicha Macky returns to her hometown, Zinder, the second largest city in Niger, for an unflinching portrait of a young generation desperate for hope in their future.
In the poor district of Kara-Kara, a culture of gang violence reigns. Amidst the posturing and the body-building, Macky captures the lives of a group of men trying to break free from the cycle of violence which has built their identities. She reveals the survival strategies of a neglected youth, to whom she gives voice and a face.
