A portrait of Palestinian political leader and activist, Marwan Barghouti.

Tomorrow’s Freedom is the blistering account of imprisoned Palestinian freedom fighter, Marwan Barghouti, as seen through the eyes of those that know him. Told through the testimony of his family and inner circle, Barghouti’s story is interspersed with new interviews from leading political figures from Israel, Palestine and South Africa.

Set to an understated score by Brian Eno, who also acted as executive producer, directors Sophia and Georgia Scott combine interviews with archival footage to trace the origins of Barghouti’s activism to his imprisonment, documenting the metamorphosis from freedom fighter to political leader from within the confines of a cell. Once a figure made so inaccessible through his incarceration, these fragmentary glimpses reveal a man of resilience and intelligence, with an unwavering dream of freedom for Palestine.

The screening on 12th April was followed by a Q&A with producer Sawsan Asfari. Hosted by political analyst Daniel Levy.
