Iceland's magnificent, ancient landscapes are changing, and for renowned author Andri Snær Magnason, the irreparable loss of his country's glaciers is about more than just ice.

Sara Dosa (director of Fire of Love) joins forces with Magnason as he explores a family history inextricably woven into the landscape of his home.

Using his own collected archives, his grandparents’ photographs and films, as well as traditional songs and folktales, Time and Water interlaces Magnason’s family story with that of the land around him, as he creates a time capsule to hold onto before it all slips away.

A cinematic contemplation of the natural world and our place within it, this thoughtful film reckons profoundly with love, loss, time and water.
