Who can help a poet with a broken typewriter, and a woman whose beloved Janis Joplin CD won't play?
In this generously warm and surprisingly funny final film of Nicolas Philibert’s triptych on psychiatric care in Paris, we accompany two resourceful care-givers into people’s homes, as they attempt to fix whatever seems to be broken.
Following 2023’s On The Adamant, and the subsequent At Averroes & Rosa Parks, Philibert is once again present in the scenes he films, communicating from behind his camera, while allowing the events to unfold naturally in their own time. And, within a social care system almost at breaking point, it is the generosity of time, attention and care that feel radical in this heart-warming, final instalment.
