A love letter to nature filmed exclusively on Super 8 (the original and beloved home movie format), Super Nature invites us on a cinematic and richly rewarding global tour of connection with the natural world.
To capture the whole world on camera, director Ed Sayers collaborated with 40 people filming the nature closest to their homes and their hearts on 80 different Super 8 cameras – across the land, in the air and under water.
A celebration of all we have and a reflection on all we have to lose, this global co-creation project journeys across 25 different countries, creating a visceral, poetic and personal meditation on the world we live in.
The screening on Sunday the 6th of September was followed by a Q&A with director Ed Sayers, producer Becca Wolff and photographer Gideon Mendel. Hosted by BFI Head of Sustainability, Keir Oldfield-Lewis.
