Filmmaker Jordan Bryon gains access to the Taliban during Afghanistan’s transition to an Islamic controlled state and navigates grave risks and ethical dilemmas.

Transition follows Australian filmmaker Jordan Bryon’s changing life as he reports and lives in a rapidly collapsing Afghanistan. This intricate journey as a trans-man becomes more complex when he’s granted exclusive access to a group of Taliban fighters. He grapples with ethical dilemmas while his relationships deepen with these men and as the Taliban regime restricts all forms of freedom, he and his friends Afghan filmmaker Teddy and photojournalist Kiana wrestle with their future and safety in the country.

A meditation on the binary by an extraordinary narrator, this documentary explores what it takes to feel at home in our own skins.

The screening on Tuesday the 27th February was followed by a Q&A with director Jordan Bryon. Hosted by Karen Shook.
