One World Media presents Fresh Eyes on the World – a screening of short documentary films by emerging talent.
Join us for a showcase of new work from One World Media’s 2017 grantees. We will be screening a series of untold stories from the wider world produced and directed by young talent who received a One World Media Production Fund grant.
These eye-opening stories will introduce you to people around the world that highlight our common humanity. Stories range from exploring the increasing popularity of K-Pop among young Iraqis, to transgender Muslims working at a boarding school in Indonesia. Short documentaries feature women in post-conflict Tripoli, Lebanon, using recycling to bring together the Alawite and Sunni communities, native Burmese soldiers who fought for and alongside the British Army during WW2, and Sudanese inventors taking on desertification in a TV competition.
