Gabriel Yared has composed music for feature films, documentaries, ballets and cartoons, winning many awards internationally, including an Oscar for his score on "The English Patient".
His unusual path has taken him to different continents, landing him accidentally into film music in 1980, with “Sauve Qui Peut La Vie” by Jean-Luc Godard as his first film score. For the first time, he has accepted to be filmed and to be followed in his collaboration with the director Anthony Minghella, for the score of “Cold Mountain“.
This intimate documentary explores the inspiration behind Gabriel’s passion and obsession for learning more about music.
