After the Soviet invasion of Prague, a young female photographer strives to break free from the constraints of normalisation and embarks on a wild journey towards freedom.
Libuše Jarcovjáková – later dubbed the ‘Nan Goldin of Czechoslovakia’ – narrates her formative years in Prague, Tokyo and Berlin. Composed entirely of Jarcovjáková’s still photographs and diary excerpts, and made in close collaboration with the photographer, Klára Tasovská’s debut feature is a formally inventive and intimate portrait of a woman trying to find her place in the world.
