In the summer of 2000, members of the Nobel Peace Prize nominated Voices in the Wilderness, a campaign to stop the economic sanctions against Iraq, committed an act of civil disobedience.

Facing up to twelve years in jail and fines in excess of one-million dollars, the delegates went to live in Basra, Iraq with families who survive on the U.N. Oil for Food Program rations. Greetings from Missile Street shows ordinary people living in Iraq, who have paid the price under economic sanctions.
