Refusing to succumb to taboos around working women in conservative Moroccan society, Khadija makes a successful living as a camerawoman at weddings in Casablanca, despite her family's disapproval.

Spending her days documenting traditional and arranged marriages, and at the same time defying pressure from her family to re-marry herself, divorcee Kjadija leads a life of contradictions.

With candid and revealing insight, director Karima Zoubir astutely outlines the conflict women such as Khadija face in wanting to honour their families’ wishes, yet having a fierce desire for their own independence and freedom.
