Nicolas Philibert takes us into 'Averroès' and 'Rosa Parks', two psychiatric wards of a Parisian hospital - part of the same network as the floating day care centre of his 2023 film, On the Adamant.
The hospital setting is organised more formally, but the centre’s patient-focussed approach to psychiatric care and rehabilitation is evident here too. From individual interviews to group conversations, Philibert gently observes the dynamics between doctors and patients, as little by little, each person there eases open the door to their world.
