At the Prague Academy of Fine Arts, it's time for a new batch of potential students to go through the 3-day entrance exam process. The Academy's tutors prepare to put them through their paces and whittle down hundreds of hopefuls for a few coveted spots.

They will question their artistic beliefs as well as their talents, push them out of their comfort zones, encourage debate and travel with them through the highs and lows of the most important three days of their burgeoning careers.

The whole process is brilliantly observed with droll detachment by filmmakers Adéla Komrzý and Tomáš Bojar, who have created their own artistic masterpiece – landing somewhere between Ruben Östlund and Frederick Wiseman.

How do you assess artistic talent? Who gets to select the artists of the future? What role can art play in today’s world? And what is the best theme for the Day 2 practical exam?
