Award-winning director Janus Metz arrives in Afghanistan with a group of Danish soldiers on their first tour of duty stationed on the Helmand frontline in Camp Armadillo.
Metz captures life on the frontline with an uncompromising and intense vision. The outcome is a gripping and highly authentic war drama that was justly awarded the Grand Prix de la Semaine de la Critique at last year’s Cannes film festival. But it also provoked furious debate in Denmark concerning the controversial behaviour of certain Danish soldiers during a shootout with Taliban fighters.
