There are 200 million people watching and there's glitter everywhere! How will the anti-capitalist Icelandic rock band Hatari fare as they attempt an audacious political stand at a determinedly non-political Eurovision.

Icelandic rock band Hatari have always been driven by their politics as well as their music. Their selection to represent Iceland at Eurovision was an audacious coup, particularly as the contest would be hosted in Israel with occupied territories on the doorstep. Determined to politicise an overtly non-political Eurovision, Hatari decide to take a stand.

There are 200 million people watching, and there’s glitter everywhere. How will Hatari fare? With unique access, A Song Called Hate examines how these passionately anti-capitalist artists navigate the shiny-show business world of Eurovision, and how they cope with criticism when it comes from all sides.

Is it possible to participate within a system while simultaneously rejecting it? Or is that the only way?
