This timely film from director Pamela Yates weaves together stories of migrants across the US feeling the force of the increasingly hostile immigration policies, which extend far from the border and into the lives of every US immigrant. This powerful film that becomes more urgent by the day.

Borderland – The Line Within investigates the massive, militarised apparatus that has been built to capture, imprison and deport millions, exposing the ruthless profiteering that underlies it.

At the same time, this powerful and pertinent film weaves together the stories of migrants who are resisting and intent on building a movement for change in the shadow of this border industrial complex, recognising the human rights of all.

Nadia Hardman is a researcher in the Refugee and Migrants Rights Division of Human Rights Watch, monitoring and documenting human rights abuses against asylum seekers, refugees, and migrant populations.

Chris Stone is professor of practice of public integrity at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford. He is principal moderator of the Symposium on Strength and Solidarity for Human Rights and served as president of the Open Society Foundations from 2012 through 2017.
