The screening was followed by our Q&A with the director, Yasmin Fedda and hosted by academic Shohini Chaudhuri.

Since the conflict began in 2011, 100,000 people have been forcibly disappeared in Syria, the vast majority by a regime which is still in power.

Finding the personal reality in the face of such an overwhelming statistic, director Yasmin Fedda follows Noura and Machi as they search for their missing loved ones – internet activist Bassel Safadi and priest Paolo Dall’Oglio. With immense courage, they search for the answers they both need and dread.
