Eleanor Coppola turns her camera on her daughter, Sofia Coppola, as she shoots her 2006 historical drama, Marie Antoinette.

Drawn from over 80 hours of behind-the-scenes footage shot on-set inside the Palace of Versailles, the documentary is a mother’s view onto her daughter at work. Amongst the elaborate costumes and powdered wigs, Eleanor’s insightful eye captures Sofia’s strength, vulnerability and creativity as she directs the landmark film, aged 34.
