Ten years after their first documentary in the area, the directors of Sarura return to the village of At-Tuwani in the hills south of Hebron, to film the ongoing conflict between Settlers, Palestinian villagers and the ever-present Israeli Defence Forces.

At the gates of the Negev desert, a group of young Palestinians – the ‘Youth of Sumud’ – fight against the Israeli military occupation. They face aggression with nonviolent action, defend themselves from rifles with video cameras, and dedicate years of effort to rebuilding (and re-inhabiting) the ancient cave village of Sarura, which was abandoned in the mid-1990s.

Powerfully using archive material from their first film, they show how the children of the village have grown up into the ‘Youth of Sumud’, and give a shocking first-hand account of aggression and resistance.
