When their beloved grandmother Annette dies, siblings Jonathan and Elan set to work transforming her home at 306 Hollywood Avenue into an archaeological dig through their memories of her.

“A house is a universe, it’s an entire world”, comments physicist and novelist Alan Lightman. When Elan and Jonathan’s grandmother Annette dies, the siblings join their mother to clear out the house which was home to Annette for 67 years.

However, after a couple of supernatural surprises, they decide they can’t sell the house yet. They consult with an archivist, an archaeologist and a physicist, and transform the site into an archaeological dig, much to their mother’s amusement.

With an incredible wealth of home movie footage, a dose of Wes Anderson whimsy, and a score evocative of Danny Elfman’s Edward Scissorhands, the brother-sister filmmaking duo playfully bring their childhood dreams and memories of their beloved grandmother to life.
