Join us for a deep-dive into My Octopus Teacher, the story of a unique relationship between a diver and a charismatic octopus, set in the spectacular under-sea world off the tip of South Africa.
Currently in the running for both an Oscar and a BAFTA, My Octopus Teacher follows filmmaker and naturalist Craig Foster over the course of a year spent freediving in a kelp forest in Cape Town, closely observing and developing a relationship with an octopus.
Co-directors Pippa Ehrlich and James Reed joined us to discuss making the film, underwater cinematography, marine conservation and extraordinary sea creatures. Hosted by journalist Carol Nahra.
