30 years after Abbas Kiarostami made Homework, Iranian directors Ashkan Nejati and Mehran Nematollahi take the pulse of contemporary Iran in their charming, clear-sighted partner piece, Tonight's Homework.

They begin by asking today's school children the same questions as Kiarostami asked - about homework, their schooling, their home lives, what they play with, their parents, their dreams for the future.

Piece by piece, answer by answer, we sense a society with a widening gulf between rich and poor; but, of course, they will all tell you they have done their homework.

The Zoom Q&A on Fri 22 Apr at 18:00 has been cancelled.
