Raise Hell: The Life & Times of Molly Ivins tells the story of the legendary American journalist Molly Ivins, six feet of Texas trouble who took on the Good Old Boy corruption wherever she found it. Her razor sharp wit left both sides of the aisle laughing, and craving ink in her columns spanning forty years.

A favourite on TV discussion shows
, the liberal Ivins was  a larger than life character, her exuberant public life masking a lonelier private one. A keen political observer, she was prescient about how the politics of Texas were becoming that of the US: "Polarising people is a good way to win an election and a good way to wreck a country.” Ivins’ death in 2007 prevented her witnessing just how true her words would prove.

"New documentary about the great Texas columnist, sends an urgent message from the Bush years to a nation under Trump with sharp humour" — Guardian
