After 52 years, Colombia’s FARC guerrillas are coming out of the jungle to give up their weapons and become a political party. The peace process which has led to this remarkable moment has also launched the country into chaos, as everyone jostles for position in the new reality.
In this award-winning film, directors Jenni Kivistö and Jussi Rastas follow the FARC on their difficult transition from deep in the jungle to the centre of society. They also examine the fractious political arena that they will soon be joining, and the farmers who are dependent on the coca production now under threat.
A gripping portrait of a country struggling with its colonial past, whose leaders have vastly different opinions about the future.
