Mutlu Kaya was a Kurdish teenager with an exceptional singing voice and the star of Turkey's Got Talent, when she was shot by a local man at her home in Southeast Turkey. Despite life changing injuries, Mutlu goes in search of justice and to reclaim her voice as a singer.

My Name is Happy follows Mutlu's journey from teen singer to fearless survivor, drawing attention to femicide in Turkey while staying close to Mutlu and her extraordinary family.

The screening on Sat 11th Feb, will be followed by a Q&A with the directors Nick Read, Ayse Toprak, film protagonists Mutlu Kaya and Songul Kaya.
