This new documentary celebrates the inimitable career of Alexander McQueen, English fashion designer and world-renowned artist. The film follows McQueen’s climb to success – remembering his graduation from Central Saint Martins, his relentless work ethic, and his controversial challenges to the norm. Directors Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui also delicately explore the life of the artist, getting to grips with how his working class roots manifested in his glamour and confronting McQueen’s ongoing mental health problems.
McQueen is an electric and engrossing documentary that is both rich with footage from his most famous catwalk shows and a sensitive portrait of the soul behind the stitch.
