Cinema in its purest form, Gunda chronicles the lives of a mother pig, a flock of chickens, and a herd of cows with masterful intimacy.
Using beautiful black and white cinematography and the farm's ambient soundtrack, master director Viktor Kossakovsky (Aquarela) invites the audience to slow down and experience life as his subjects do. In doing so, Gunda takes us into the mystery of animal consciousness, and the role humanity plays in it.
Fri 4 June, 17:30 - this screening will be followed by a recorded Q&A with director Viktor Kossakovsky.
Q&A recorded at Glasgow Film Festival 2021, and available by kind permission of Glasgow Film.
