Creative Response to COVID-19 | DocHouse Short Docs Competition
A picture of London's horizon, taken from a boat on the Thames itself, from East London. The buildings are small on the horizon, and the clouds are grey overhead.

OUR LATEST THEME IS 'BRAVE NEW WORLD'.
ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE 3 MINUTES LONG AND CREATED ON A SMARTPHONE OR COMPUTER.

This short documentary competition invites everyone to enter docs that are of maximum of 3 minutes in length.

All entries must respond to the theme of 'Brave New World' exploring our very changed society in some form or another, but we leave interpretation of that theme up to you.

With so many unknowns on the horizon, tell us what uncertainties you now face and what coping mechanisms have you been finding to adjust to the 'new normals' in our lives. What's next, and how will our livelihoods or leisure have to change? Will there be hope in the radical changes? What will inspire you?

Please be original with your title, don't feel compelled to use 'Brave New World' as a title.

  • A parent or guardian is happy to provide their details, give consent for you to participate

  • Films can also be entered by a parent/guardian or other adult on behalf of a young person or group of young people
  • Your parent or guardian completes the release form for you

Please note:
You must NOT feature the surnames of any young people under the age of 18, anywhere in your film, including the titles and credits. Bertha DocHouse are committed to the protection and safety of young people, and the addition of surnames in your films can compromise this.
