Migrant farmer Chen Jun moved his family from rural Hebei Province to Beijing, making a living by farming a leased plot of land. In 2010, the ruthless expansion of Beijing reached Chen Jun's threshold when his landlord demanded their plot back in order to build on the land. As their neighbours crumble and give in, Chen Jun and his wife hold strong and refuse to leave.
Over a period of 5 years, My Land follows the battle of these grassroots activists to keep their home, their source of income and their dignity in the face of a campaign of sabotage and intimidation.
