"Quirky and compulsive viewing" - Radio Times
For a historic club in Christchurch, New Zealand, competitive poultry pageantry is not only a hobby – it’s an obsession. The 148-year-old Christchurch Poultry, Bantam and Pigeon Club is home to members from all ages and although they are brought together by the love of their feathered friends, there are troubles at the heart of their organisation.
Watch the feathers fly in the lead up to the New Zealand National Show, as they battle tradition, and each other, in their quest for glory. Following the club through a tumultuous year of power-struggles, vicious rivalries and heated debates, Pecking Order is a heart-warming and hilarious look at their unique world.
Pecking Order will be shown daily from Friday 29th Sept. More screenings on sale soon!
PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO ADVERTS PLAYED BEFORE FILMS IN THE BERTHA DOCHOUSE SCREEN. ALL FEATURES WILL START PROMPTLY FOLLOWING A SELECTION OF TRAILERS.
DOCHOUSE'S PRODUCTION MANAGER Emily Copley SAYS...
Summer is drawing to a close, the days are getting shorter and darker and I think we’re all in need of a giggle. If you’re looking for a doc that is funny, heart-warming and completely bizarre, this is the one for you. I particularly loved the drama of the Poultry Club meetings and the Kiwi accents.
