Danny Houck is an eccentric recluse living in rural Ohio with an obsession for making violins. Self-taught and lacking in resources, Houck’s passion for his craft leads him to reach out to Razvan Stoica, a famous European violinist, via Facebook. He confirms their new friendship with a promise to made an exact replica of Il Cannone, one of the most famous and valuable violins in the world.
A race against time, money and self-sabotage ensues as Houck puts his talent to the test in this entertaining and endearing film from director Stefan Avalos.
