Deep in the jungles of Cambodia rural farmers and fishermen such as Sari Math are struggling to overcome the crushing effects of deforestation, overfishing, and overwhelming debt. Forced to make a decision between the beautiful lands they were raised in and moving closer to the cities for their families' survival, many rural Cambodians are in a no win situation.
Director Kalyanee Mam takes us on a cinematic journey, achieving a profound intimacy with the characters as they try to survive the devastation wrought by Cambodia's rapid development.
